CRUSADERS, Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. Imitation Bezants. 12th century. AV Bezant (23mm, 3.61 g, 3h). Imitating the Ayyubid caliph al-Amir. Acre mint. Second phase, 1148/59-1187. Balog & Yvon 27; Metcalf, Crusades 119-25; CCS 4; Album 730. Near EF, light roughness in areas.

Note: One side bears pellets instead of full circles, a variation unseen by Stephen Album
